We believe everyone has the right to live well in a good home as they age, regardless of their financial means. Thanks to the £1 million bequeathed from our Founder William Whiteley, for over a hundred years we’ve been one of Surrey’s leading charities, tackling poverty amongst older people.

In the midst of a cost-of-living crisis, our work has rarely been more important. So, we have launched 'A Place called Home', an appeal that features stories from our residents highlighting why their home at Whiteley Village means so much to them.

Our residents come to us from many walks of life - some seeking refuge from abuse, some peace after years of fighting debt, and others simply needing a roof over their heads after being homeless or struggling in unsuitable accommodation. What unites them is that they are all older people in need, and at Whiteley Village we can offer them a comfortable home in a supportive and safe community.
